Designing a home for a dynamic young Hollywood family is an exercise in effortless adaptability. It must shift from entertaining industry executives one moment, to family gatherings with small children the next. Inspired by 1940’s California Arts & Crafts, we designed this Spanish Revival home to highlight the high ceilings, graceful arches, and intricate ironwork that gives the space authentic charm. Working closely with a local LA furniture designer, we created a dining room table that balances the natural contours of a single slab of rough-hewn hickory with the Hollywood glamour of bronze metal detailing. The result is an effortless balance that feels distinctively west coast.
