An empty nester couple relocating from Toronto to Chicago we helped to navigate the custom build-out and interior design of their new residence at No.9 Walton. The clients purchased the unit pre-construction and had the opportunity to customize layout and finishes to suit their functional needs also incorporating a contemporary art collection. One large great room area combines living, dining, and family room spaces opening to a gracious covered outdoor terrace. A cozy dark study with custom millwork cabinets and fireplace highlight a video art installation. Vintage details contrast the simple contemporary furnishings in the entry and powder room light fixtures as a nod to the building’s historic detail references.
